Added to it there have been many a legend who have been visiting faculty and guest speakers at Udaan, like Fashion Photographer Swapan Parekh, Padma Shri Pablo Bartholomew, Winner of "Photographer of the Year' in the U.S.A,  Kuni Takahashi, Fashion Photographer Rafiq Sayyad, Alex Majoli of Magnum, Photojournalist Prashant Panjiar, to name a few.

The list of Udaan’s notable alumni is long and impressive. Something we are very proud of. The work of commercial photography students can be seen in large billboards on the streets of Mumbai, as well on the covers and centrespreads of magazines, like the prestigious Forbes and Femina. From shooting celebrities to fancy cars, to handling major clients, Udaan students have come a long way.

And about photojournalism students, they are employed as full time photographers in almost all major newspapers, magazines and international news agencies, that include the Times of India, Hindustan Times, Indian Express, Mid-day, The Hindu, India Today, DNA, Reuters to name a few.

And many of the students, even from short term courses, have gone on to win major awards, including the top prize in the prestigious 'National Geographic Photography competition', two years in a row.  Several students have also won Indian and international fellowships, with one former student  recently completing a residency program in Denmark.

Several Udaan students have also been the finalists in "Nat Geo Cover Shot' a photography based TV reality show.

Udaan provides the most comprehensive and actual work oriented course content. The courses have been very meticulously and scientifically designed by leading photography professionals. The extensive syllabus covers several subjects, that is not taught anywhere else. Udaan is able to offer such extensive content in its syllabus, and teach it with such expertise and authority, due to the immense global experience of its tutors.

Hub to both fashion & glamour industry as well as journalism

Mumbai is the commercial and entertainment capital of India. Its the city of dreams. There is no other city in India, that better showcases the fashion and glamour industry, than Mumbai. The city of Bollywood, apart from the movie industry, has nurtured a huge number of successful fashion designers, models and commercial photographers and there is no better place than the Mumbai, to be part of this industry. And Udaan is based right in the heart of the city. But apart from the glitz and glamour, the tinsel town is also a hub of journalism, housing several of India's large newspapers and magazines. Learning photography in Mumbai gives students frequent opportunities to interact with leading professionals, be it in commercial photography or photojournalism. And the city opens diverse career opportunities.

Easily accessible : Udaan School of Photography is well connected to the rest of the city through an easily accessible network of railways, bus routes and taxis that are available 24 hours a day. The school is approximately just 8 kms away from the city's airport, and less than 11 km from Mumbai Central railway station. One of the main railways hubs, 'Dadar railway station' is less than 3 kms from the school and 10 minutes drive away. To travel in local trains, Udaan is just a 5-7 minutes walk from Matunga Road station (for western line) and a 2-5 minutes walk from Byculla railway station (for central line), making it very convenient for anyone to reach the school from any corner of the city. There is no water-logging around the school even during the worst monsoon and heaviest of showers, and remains accessible from different directions through the year.
